Holiday Cheer from Penn Flutes

As part of the Music in the Stacks collaboration between Penn’s Albrecht Music Library and the Department of Music, the musicians performed a concert that included “Silent Night” and other holiday songs.

On Dec. 8, the Library Choir of the Penn Flutes performed as part of the Music in the Stacks collaboration between Penn’s Albrecht Music Library and the Department of Music. The concert, which took place at the library at the Penn Museum, included an arrangement of “Silent Night” by flutist Ann Cameron Pearce, as well as “I Have a Little Dreidel,” music from the Nutcracker, and other holiday songs.

 

 

Performers included Steven Chen, C’24, Priya Deliwala, C’24, Shambhabi Gautam, ENG’27, Sowon Han, C’27, Alina Markutsya, W’27, Nick Sathi, C’24, Hayden Siesel, C’24, Megan Wu, C’26, and Ling Xu, ENG’24. Michele Kelly, the flutist with the ensemble Relâche, directed. Penn Flutes, one of the largest active flute choirs in the United States, includes musicians from the ranks of Penn undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the surrounding community.
