The Penn Arts & Sciences Professional Women’s Alliance (PWA) will hold an event in San Francisco on April 27 at Williams-Sonoma in Union Square. This will be the first satellite event for the PWA, and a chance for professionally engaged College alumnae in the area to get together and network. It will be hosted by Laura Alber, C'90, President and Chief Executive Officer of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., and a member of the Penn Arts & Sciences Board of Advisors.

The PWA was created for professionally active Penn Arts & Sciences women who have a deep appreciation and understanding of the value of a liberal arts education in the workplace. It connects them with each other and with students and young alumnae of the College, with professional development and career networking opportunities for all Penn Arts & Sciences female-identifying alumnae and students. PWA is an inclusive and trans-affirming organization.

“We are excited to bring a PWA experience to the Bay area for alumnae to engage and build connection with one another,” says Chrissy Bowdren, Associate Director of Alumni Engagement for Penn Arts & Sciences. “PWA was created for professionally engaged women at every stage, from young alumnae to established professionals to those who are looking at their next steps. This event will provide a meaningful way to build alumnae connection among our College Bay-area alumnae.”
