As part of its focus on violence, the 2013–14 Penn Humanities Forum presented Biennale: A Comic Opera by Richard L. Fisher Professor emerita of English Wendy Steiner. In the opera, an animation called "The Music of the Spheres" launches the heroine into a fantasy at the Venice Biennale.
