Students from the Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management share their capstone presentations with the research sector.

This past April, four teams of seniors from the Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management (LSM) presented their capstone projects to an audience of over 100 biotech and investment leaders. LSM is an undergraduate dual-degree program administered jointly between Penn's College of Arts & Sciences and the Wharton School. Graduates of the program enter careers in medicine, bioscience, biotechnology, and other sectors of the healthcare industry. The capstone course (LSMP 421) is led by Steven Nichtberger, LSM Senior Fellow and an adjunct professor in Wharton's Department of Health Care Management.

We spoke with student presenters Diana Bongiorno, C’16, W’16, Lucy Chen, C’16, W’16, and Osama Ahmed, C’16, W’16; Nichtberger and faculty co-directors Philip A. Rea, a professor of biology and the Rebecka & Arie Belldegrun Distinguished Director, and Lawton R. Burns, James Joo-Jin Kim Professor of Health Care Management; as well as representatives from the research sector who were there to see the presentations.
