Students and alumnae celebrated the beginning of summer at this year’s Professional Women’s Alliance (PWA) Summer Social, held on June 25 at the Wilson Rose Garden in New York. The annual event offers an informal occasion for connecting or reconnecting with PWA and the Penn Arts & Sciences community.
In the brightly decorated space, 70 College students and young alumnae mingled with accomplished leaders from a wide range of industries. This year, nametags included the wearer’s field to help in industry-specific networking. “Table Talk” tents also provided a list of leading questions to stimulate conversation. The event was hosted by the PWA Advisory Board.
The PWA connects professionally active Penn Arts & Sciences women, united by their deep appreciation and understanding of the value of a liberal arts education in the workplace, with students and young alumnae of the College, through professional development and career networking opportunities for all Penn Arts & Sciences alumnae.
