Bill Shore, C’77, founder and CEO of Share Our Strength, was the guest speaker at this year’s graduation ceremony for the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences on May 15. Based in Washington, D.C., Share Our Strength has raised and invested more than $528 million in the fight against global hunger and poverty.
The student speaker was Laura Sorice, C’16, of Old Bridge, N.J., a political science major with minors in Italian Studies and Urban Studies. Sorice was a Fox Leadership Fellow at the Brookings Institution, where she conducted public policy research for Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne. She plans to attend law school and hopes to work in First Amendment law.
